Dear Alumni! Kära alumner!
It is one hundred years in 2018 since universal suffrage was granted in Sweden, as the year’s Foreign Policy Statement goes. In this regard, the Sweden Alumni Network in Northwestern Russia has come up with an idea to hold a thematic event to learn more about and discuss Sweden’s gender equality experience. There are three speakers, both teachers and students, who are going to present their reports on the following topics:
— Gender equality questions in contemporary Swedish crime fiction;
— Feminism in the foreign policy of Sweden;
— Sweden as a platform for gender equality dialog: The Stockholm Forum on Gender Equality.

In the tradition of the alumni network’s continuous partnership, the Consulate General of Sweden in St Petersburg has kindly agreed to help us set up this event for You. Below you will find some practical information regarding the meeting:
Date: Thursday, May 17th.
Time: 6:30pm.
Venue: Malaya Konnushennaya str. 1/3, “Swedish Corner”.
