This event is organised by the Maharashtra and Goa chapter of the Sweden Alumni Network India. The event is open to all Sweden alumni, their family and friends, as well as members of runners clubs.

Plogging……the “New Eco-Friendly Fitness Craze”. The Sweden-born trend is spreading across the globe.

Running is good for your health. Picking up litter is good for the planets health. To beat the heat this summer and to enjoy the summer break with the kids, Why not combine the two? That’s the idea behind “plogging,” a new environmentally conscious fitness trend where people pick up rubbish while on a run.

The Sweden Alumni Network India (SANI) – Maharashtra and Goa Chapter invites all alumni members and associates to join us for a ‘plogg’ at Vetal Tekadi, Kanchan Galli, Law College Road, Pune

Plogging originates by combining the Swedish term “Plocka upp”, meaning to pick up and “jogging”.

We’ll jog or walk or cycle for about 2-3 Km (30-40 minutes of walk) and pick some plastic on the way. Participants across all age groups are welcome! Even if you have zero running experience, don’t hesitate to join! Please bring along your spouse, friends, children and even your neighbor’s! We’ll be providing trash bags, and gloves along with food and beverages.

The Swedish Institute supports the plogging event.
