This event is organised by the SI Alumni Network Kenya (SIANK) and is open to SI alumni with an interest in environmental conservation, research and policy. For more information, please contact Monica Nderitu.

The SIANK ‘Biodiversity and Ecosystems Management Forum’ is a changemakers’ initiative that draws attention to the results of the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES) Africa regional assessment. The focus will be on policy driven approaches for realisation of long term sustainable biodiversity and ecosystem conservation in Kenya.

This forum provides an opportunity for SI alumni and key stakeholders to receive the results of the Africa assessment . The objective of the event is to ensure a wider reach and impact of IPBES work, and to enhance collaboration for IPBES activities in Kenya. The event also aims at providing an opportunity for alumni to network with a range of actors across the environmental conservation and policy sector in Kenya. It is our sincere hope that this interaction will prove inavaluable for future work of the alumni in this or related sectors.
