For this Sweden Talk we meet with Ida Östensson, activist and founder of the organisation Make Equal. She will talk about what made the #Metoo movement in Sweden unique and how it contributed to the implementation of the sexual consent law. We will also learn some practical tools for activism that can support a single individual to make actual impact.
Ida Östensson has founded some of the most important organisations and campaigns for gender equality in Sweden such as Make Equal and the activist movement FATTA. She is often present in media when issues related to gender equality and sexual consent are on the agenda. She is passionate about moving the focus from the victims and challenging us all to think in a different way.
